Crafts Programs

Individuals who participate in the Arts and Crafts Class have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills to create unique, marketable, hand-made items. Using non-fail uncomplicated methods, instructors work with program participants to develop fine and gross motor skills, using a variety of tools and working independently on a craft item. Students receive commissions on each craft item sold. Program goals include:

• To enhance a student's attention span
• Increase self-esteem
• Teach marketable skills and support interaction with others
• Recognize each individual's unique skills and talents

Ultimately, this program provides an opportunity for self-expression and creativity that contributes to the student's overall sense of achievement and well-being.
